to learn down there anymore plus the Royals were still in the playoff hunt at the time.

I thought it was the right move. Let him learn up here. When all of your teammates are super excited that you joined the team (guys like Bobby Witt, Salvy, etc...) are generally excited then it is time.

He just needs AB's as MLB pitching is like a different world from AAA pitching. This will be a great 2nd half of the season warm up and learning session for Cags. No pressure...just learn.
