If you look at a "USA" radio, it will probably say "Assembled in USA". The components and boards have been made in a plant in Malaysia. If you look at an assembled board, it will be marked "MAL" indicating the components were all stuffed on the board in Malaysia. The boards are sent to the US and stuffed into cases here. That's what "Assembled in USA" means.
