I don't think I have a claim, but it's kind of annoying how these people came in and stepped in my shoes knowing full well what the neighbor wanted and have no moral qualm about it. The executor is the only one communicating with the son in Florida and there's no way she's telling him about us, so they're happily stepping in our shoes.

The flip side is there is a lot to deal with. He was a hoarder in the worst sense. His bed alone has years of paperwork piled on it. He has several dumpsters worth of stuff that needs to be dealt with. The house is in such poor condition that I probably would have just had it auctioned off and stuck a little cash in my pocket.
