The estate will be administered, according to his will/trust. Should the beneficiaries decline the assets and designate other beneficiaries, that is their right. It appears you have no legitimate claim on the estate and are out of luck. This happens often, even within families. It is the responsibility of the executor to distribute the assets of the estate, according to the wishes of the deceased. It appears that he never acted on his desire to leave any of it to you.
