for kU is that the rest of college basketball can now buy players too so it's a way more level playing field.

I'm just going to make up some numbers...

Let's say kU's budget is $10M and they are the biggest

Ok now let's look at the other schools and it could look like the following:

Kentucky $9.8M
Duke - $9.5M
UNC - $9.2M
Florida - $9.1M
Texas - $9M
Texas A&M - $9M
Michan - $9M
Michigan St - $9M

You get the picture...now everyone has NIL budgets and it is killing kU because they used to be the team that basically had an NIL budget (by cheating) when most other schools didn't.
