Recently, it would be disappointing but acceptable. If someone would’ve told you before the season we’d make the tournament, no matter how it looked, after the 0fer last year, you would take is as a massive step in the right direction.

Also doesn’t mean that Gates should be given a lifetime contract yet, either. Defensive side of the ball is going to have to be way better going forward. He hasn’t given much evidence to show that he can put together a squad that you could even consider to be competent on the defensive end. Going to make or break his career, IMO
