A really well thought out post on Anderson / MU softball.
Anderson’s teams have been “ good enough ‘ , especially when compared to some struggling MU programs .
Last years team did seem to outperform their talent , winning close games , and she gets credit for that .
I’ve suspected for several years that the quality of her recruiting was not going to be good enough for the program to maintain the level of success it’s had for a good number of years.
This season could be , and I say could be , when the lack of high end recruits catches up to the program .
Watching the last two games , at least early on , MU’s lineup looks not to be average , or above ,SEC level quality.
Adding Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC , and this year’s schedule ,
is just brutal , and makes producing a top 20 team that much more difficult.
Anderson is obviously in a strong position at MU , so time will tell .
