My prediction is that she never makes it or sees 4th place in the SEC again. Why?
Program feels a lil too Pingeton-ish to me. Suspect recruiting, suspect assistant coaching hires. May not fall off a cliff like Pingeton but I can never shake the feeling that Earleywhine players helped early and she got a bit lucky with Laird. She also lost her hitting coach who seems to have really helped her. She seemed to take Laird ofrom power hitting frosh to mere singles hitter, as an example. I think she is a better coach than Pingeton overall (decent with pitching and defense, for example) but she really needs to upgrade the help around her to recruit and develop if she is going to a WCWS or something greater than 4th in the SEC.
I’ve been following Mizzou sports long enough to know that you don’t get rid of pretty good at Mizzou. But I’m always going to judge a coach by the best results that came before them. And, for all his flaws, EE’s recruiting and accomplishments still are the standard at Mizzou. If I’m wrong will be happy to be wrong.
