The team that lost to the Patriots had perhaps the worst defense in the NFL. They couldn't stop anyone and Mahomes put up 50 in a game and lost.

The team looked different than other teams but winning close games is a skill. You can call it luck all you want but at the end of the day they executed better than the teams they were playing.

Their offensive line was a weakness all year. They moved people around all year and it just didn't ever really work. That got exposed last night. But the Bills were dominant this year and Chiefs beat them. Chiefs were still very clearly the second best team in the NFL this year.
