Definitely. THere is a real questiona s to whether or not the federal government will be better off without the ones that take the buyout, and whether it will be more efficient. The assumption seems to be the remote workers weren't doing anything. That is a poor assumption. There also seems to be an assumption that the poor workers will be the ones to take the buyout. Also a poor assumption. Not to mention the assumption that we have office space for everyone who doesnt take the buyout to come back to the office. Lots of businneses found out during covid that they saved money on office space by having people work remote. Federal govt doesnt seem to have found that out yet.
