policy, we’d see far fewer people dumping their child and then expecting to stay and eventually getting citizenship. BTW, the 14th amendment can be interpreted to include anchor babies but to be clear, it was never written with that intent. In fact, one of the key authors specifically said at the time, that the amendment did not include babies of illegal aliens.
