Make no mistake though DEI is not dead, it is too ingrained in DC culture. It is renamed and rebranded and sitting in hibernation ready to reemerge when the political climate is favorable again.

First term Trump's most lasting impact was the reconfiguration of the Supreme Court.

If he wishes to make a lasting impact this time around he has to do some serious house cleaning in the DC bureaucracy.
