I have to wonder if Gates plays so many players in his rotation partly as a hedge against losing players to the portal over lack of playing time? It does seem like Shaw has more recently fallen out of favor for whatever reasons. He is extremely athletic but his contribution isn't commensurate with his athleticism. Boateng's role is still unestablished - he's just a freshman but I am starting to wonder if he's a flight risk come portal time.
