actually happened when communists had power. People who are powerless prior to a revolution, who acquire power after the revolution tend to not relinquish it. But they continue to sell the idea of communism to people, with 5 year plans or some other mechanism, to try to convince the people they are working towards the goal of communism.

Marxism is a utopia that can’t ever be achieved. It sounds great on the surface. Everyone is equal, there are no needs, so everyone is secure knowing they can get the housing, clothing, food they need. Every person pitching in to build a better and better society.

Yet the very nature of gaining power over the bourgeoisie is that it requires people who want power over others. People who want and then gain power don’t often relinquish it.
