By now, it should be clear to everyone here that the only option is #3. Because that's the way it's always been done at MU, at least as far as WBB is concerned. The AD isn't going to fire a coach before their contract expires. If they were going to fire her, it would have happened two years ago.
As I've said on here before, just as important as coaching and talent (and maybe MORE so) is the AD's commitment to the program. Providing the resources needed to be consistently competitive in the SEC. The real question is whether the new AD wants to do that, or wants to continue the trend of low expectations.
If he wants things to remain as they have been, he may even give RP a contract renewal. I wouldn't rule it out, just because the program has underachieved for so long.
