larger enrollment doesn't necessarily equate to having say a more engaged football following, or even donors.

As for what can be done, I dunno if there is much that can be. I don't know what MU could max out on for enrollment numbers, but I would bet it isn't really close to some of the other schools of the SEC, and geography and demographics play into that.
