If a kid graduates at 18, but blows his acl at 19 and gets a redshirt, then he should still get 4 years. I could see an age cap of like 25 being reasonable, but even that would get riddled with waivers for injury/religious/military exemptions.

I agree that the NCAA needs to do something or fold. Super conferences are going to end them IMO. Conferences could make their own rules and a committee could still coordinate a National championship invitational bracket without all the beuraocracy.
