The Register knew it was incorrect and released it without ant disclaimer that the results were an outlier and not to be taken as credible.

WaPo wrote this to describe their Sep 24 poll that showed Trump +9: “The difference between this poll and others, as well as the unusual makeup of Trump’s and Biden’s coalitions in this survey, suggest it is probably an outlier.”
