Of those first round NCAA games were thrown in order to avoid mandatory drug testing.
I certainly don’t know how accurate that is, and it would be really unfortunate, but there are a couple of facts that we know
In the late 80s and early 90s era…at least…, the NCAA did drug test every team that won in the first round.
We did have some guys with drug issues.
