Well at Mizzou, Gates has had the best and worst year

Martin's best year was 20 wins and 10 in the SEC. Gates won 25 and 11.

Martin's worst year was 12 wins and 5 in the SEC. Gates won only 8 and lost every SEC game.

Martin never made it past the first round in the NCAA while Gates has.

So not sure I'd say it's not close. I'd say it's about even so far.
