sign a contract for 4-years tuition+expenses. Are allowed to have jobs through businesses with ZERO school affiliation….actual work, promotion, whatever.
No collectives. No pay to play. Sit a year if you transfer unless your Head Coach leaves. If you enter a pro draft before your 4 years are up, you must repay the university however many years tuition you are forfeiting.
99% of athletes would agree to this.
In college hoops, it might push 5 kids per year overseas or to the D league. Let them go. The sport will still be better off with the rest of the juniors & seniors that don’t leave early with no real pro prospects.
