Lester Thurow was a well known economist at MIT who passed away in 2017. He was a sought after speaker for many business groups, conventions, etc.
He was known for his studies of U.S. China trade, etc. and would often end his speeches on U.S. China trade by saying "remeber the old Chinese curse, may you live in interesting times".
Certainly the next decade or two will be "interesting times" for college football.
