He got a degree in golf management which is part of the hospitality management program. All the kids in that program have jobs and internships. He had internships every summer and is now the head pro at Bali Hai.
I remember during Covid he had a past due balance and was not able to register for classes. We were scrambling and then got a letter from the school that they took all the money they received from the Federal government for Covid and used that to pay the students' past due balances so he was able to register and graduate.
I stressed to him years ago that if he wanted to take $10 each week and play a parlay card that's fine because he has to reach into his wallet and take out the $10. Stressed to never get a bookie and he has not
The weird thing is we dropped him off in August 2017. About 2 months later at like 3 in the morning on a Monday I happened to wake up and looked at my phone messages. There was a message from him that he was OK and the attacks had not reached the campus. I am like "What the hell is he talking about?" Then I turned on the Communist News Network and saw that nut had killed 60 people at that concert from the Mandalay Bay. Had he aimed that gun he was firing s little higher he could have strafed my son's dorm.
You drop your kid off for college in Vegas and figure that some bad things might happen. That was not one of them.
