"For decades we were heavily involved in the Middle East and controlling things there. But never really cared about Israel vs. Gaza. Sure, we supported Israel but that's always been a very localized to Israel conflict."
This is patently incorrect, so your premise is based on ignorance. Please provide the evidence to back up this statement and I will be happy to present evidence that counters it. I can't debate information that isn't provided. Your claim is your opinion formed by an analysis you surely did before making the claim.
"If any of the usual suspects in the Middle East actually gave a **** about Gaza it would be a much more widespread conflict. They don't. It's just a cause in name because it's Muslims vs. Jews. That's about it."
Maybe you aren't aware that Israel is now threatening Iran. If Iran's oil infrastructure is targeted, what do you think that will do to oil prices? Oil prices affect the price of gas and food. Food has to be transported using petroleum products.
Not to mention, if Israel escalates even further and strikes Iran's nuclear facilities, Iran will respond in kind, which could make the entire area uninhabitable.
Like I said. You are constructing your entire argument with no information (ignorance).
