year. Turned in a pretty good game against Illinois, then after 10 minutes of pretty lackluster play against Central Arkansas the next game, he didn't see double-digit minutes again until the LSU game at the end of the season.

In retrospect, it would have made more sense to have Pierce out there getting experience than running Vanover out ineffective appearance after ineffective appearance.
