my teacher lives in La Jolla, talks about why he lives there all the time. Weather never changes (10 miles inland it gets hot, where he lives it's 65-80 year round.) Doesn't own an umbrella. His home is worth about 2-3 mil. Not the level of crime you have in San Diego proper (which is still miles better than any other large city in CA) and certainly better than the LA toilet basin
