Q. Pouring additional billions of $ into Ukraine to continue fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian is a good idea? If so, why?
A) trump's Putin has eyes well beyond Ukraine, so long as the Ukrainians have the will to resist tyranny, we should support them as long as we remain a democracy (which we all know is at great risk)
I think you have a false premise there. Putin was quite content to have a friendly Ukraine on his border. The US interfered, however, with acquiescence from their NATO lackeys. They instigated a coup to depose Ukraine's democratically elected president who was friendly to Russia, and installed a president hostile to Russians, including Ukrainian citizens of Russian ancestry and leanings, particularly in eastern Ukraine.
Ukraine was shelling its own citizens in the east, and apparently had bioweapons labs there that may have been used against Russia.
The US/NATO also violated their promises to Russia to not expand NATO along their border if they released the satellite states of the USSR, and their promises not to be putting more missiles in those new countries aimed at the heartland of Russia.
Had Russia or China done similar things in Cuba or Mexico we would likely have reacted in similar fashion to what Russia did.
Q) Giving Ukraine long range missiles is a good idea?
- If so, why? Do you think the Russian threat of war with Europe & the US is just a bluff? Or that we're ready to prevail in such a war?
A) I think the putin is bluffing about nukes, so long as he reigns terror on Ukraine with missles, he should get a taste of what it is like. Like Americans with the trump, most Russians are gaslit about what the putin has been doing
