but in a sense the NFL would be as popular even without that "regionalism". It doesn't matter Dallas is in the NFC or that the Rams were in St. Louis and the NFC West. (Actually I think the Saints were in the NFC west for a while). There really are no NFL rivalries just like really most college rivalries don't mean anything anymore. If Green Bay was in a division with Jacksonville everyone would still watch and there would be big crowds. Auburn fans would rather make the playoffs than beat Alabama.
