Both the position transfers and what they offer. Sokoloski seems to have been used primarily as a pinch runner at Ok St so she must have great speed as you say. No, neither one of those two were the “name” transfers many were hoping for, but they could still play a big role on the 2025 team as we fight for another top 16 seed and hopefully another top 8 seed.

As others have said, more question marks than answers for the 2025 team, both veterans (this means you Daly and Crenshaw) and younger players need to step up. Coach Anderson, arguably, does more with less than pretty much any other coach in the game, and has done it without a true ace pitcher who can consistently dominate other teams. She’s coached the team to two top 8 national seeds in the last 4 years, and there’s a pretty short list of coaches who can say that.

Not sure about whether the CC transfer pitcher from Iowa is going to make a difference or not, that would be an added bonus to a more than capable, although unspectacular, pitching staff. I wish we would have gotten a great pitcher from the portal, although that doesn’t always work out as planned, just ask Nebraska and South Carolina from last year.

I’m looking forward to the fall exhibition games, havnt seen the schedule out yet.
