This is how I see it with religion.

People feel the need to have purpose in life (I get that). Religion has built that paradigm to give that purpose. The propaganda works. The proof is flimsy, and for sure relies on hope and/or faith.

my purpose is through working with agriculture to help others. I know people need food, and I can do my part in that chain. As I create that value for others, I get a part of it.


But either way, my biggest problem is when people want to use government as a means to force their agenda upon others. So yes, when a pastor tells the congregation they should vote a certain way, or on different ballots, that is something I do not like.
