regarding fracking in spite of the fact some (much?) of their rank and file hate (and totally misunderstand) the practice. The unconventional oil boom which wouldn't have happened without fracking started under Obama's presidency and lasted through Trump and Biden's presidency unabated (except for covid). Harris's reversal on fracking could actually hurt her in one swing state: Pennsylvania where it's not at all a popular practice.

Not sure why you think fracking is bad. Fracking does not pollute groundwater. It generally happens thousands of feet below groundwater reservoirs and under high constraining pressures. Nor does fracking cause earthquakes - something that has been widely but erroneously reported. Re-injection of fluid produced from wells (many of them frac'd) into water-bearing formations for disposal is what causes earthquakes. Saying fracking causes EQ's is like saying having a car accident on the way to the airport makes flying dangerous. There are ways to abate the earthquake issue but its a fluid disposal issue not fracking issue.
