Ok - I did some research. From what I can see it is

illegal by federal law (The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996) for non-citizens (other than very specific exceptions) to vote in federal elections.

I stand corrected. My apologies.

However, would it surprise you to know there are 12 states that permit non-citizens to vote in local/state elections?

My concern on this issue is simple. I have ZERO trust in the election process in many places and believe there is a LOT of LEGAL (technically) Ballot harvesting with door to door and room to room voter registration and ballot completion by (mainly) dem operatives in urban locales.

I will now research the details on the current legislation to find out what it means relative to the 1996 law. I can't fathom it's redundant.
