aggressively and repeatedly for many years now. Putin kept warning them to stop or war would be the result, but they've been hell bent on provoking him into initiating the attack and then gravely wounding Russia, weakening them in the process.

Russia has offered to sit down in peace negotiations multiple times since the war started and Ukraine wanted to ink a deal, but the US & NATO has consistently and emphatically insisted that there would be no negotiations.
