it might be shocking to learn not only the number of Americans taking psychotropic meds (15-20%) and it seems more common than not that folks who do take multiple meds.

Granted, the meds may be overprescribed to folks who have minor difficulty in coping skills who may not need it (clearly not this shooter), but it is mind-boggling to me how we got to a place where that significant proportion of the population needs (?) meds to function on a day to day basis.
