the alleged victim’s testimony is certainly evidence which the jury is free to accept or reject. Jurors determine the facts. A fact can be established by a single witness. The testimony of multiple witnesses can be disbelieved and rejected.
If I say (falsely) you threw a brick at me (but missed) and say so on the stand in a convincing fashion, you could be convicted of assault - even if there are no witnesses or physical damage.
The facts ARE what the jury SAYS THEY ARE. Many cases rely on the testimony of a single witness.
