LBJ trying to cover up that he sent a US Navy ship unescorted into a war zone and that the Israelis were told no US ships were within 100 miles of said war zone?

Or Israel for failing to modify the attack order until the Liberty could be confirmed as non-hostile?

Fog of war is what took place when the Liberty was attacked…. Politics and CYA on both sides caused the aftermath.
