1) its evidently standard practice in NEW York for the Jury instructions to not be given in writing. I personally think that is stupid, but republicans were making it out to be a nefarious deviation from normal. Which it was not.
2)
a) because of the other crime(s)
b) there were 3
-unlawful influence on an election
-tax evasion
-campaign finance laws
I thought the pick and choose on the underlying crime was a little odd, BUT they just had to agree there was an underlying crime. Incidentally I don't think it would have mattered and I don't know if that still becomes an appealable point , but I guess we shall see.
I have stated what I think (and almost certainly will) happen from here.
-Upheld at the appeals court
-upheld at the New York version of Next round of appeals
(they don't call it the Supreme Court but something else that escape goats me at this moment.
(less than 5% of felonies get reversed).
The Supreme Corrupt RARELY agrees to hear State issues, but they will pick this one up and they will find some flimsy reason to reverse the decision and send it back to the State.
But the election will long be over and we will be either suffering as a nation again or the trump will be
facing his 3 other criminal trials.
