Didn’t say it was but it certainly impacts him in that fan patience is extremely thin. Fans have endured it all and it sucks to be such a mess for most of a decade. I don’t see a very compelling case that next year will be any better as inexperience looks to dominate.

Bates, Shaw who can only dunk with consistency (maybe) and 3 sophs that didn’t show much (maybe) and 5 frosh don’t inspire confidence that next year is a breakout. Gates better find 3 portal dudes who really impact or 8 out of 11 is coming (The fan experience, if not Gates alone).
