to play good defense at this level with the current active roster. It doesn't matter which style is attempted.

The older guys lack the athleticism and the younger guys lack the bulk/experience.

And it seems like every time they have a good possession defensively they give up the offensive rebound.

Get the NIL money lined up for Bates, go get another impact transfer or 2, and hope to keep the youngsters around for a few years. Some years are just going to be like this I'm afraid.
