By form, it is a constitutional federal republic, which, if enshrined with Enlightenment principles (i.e the ones you mock) like the US was originally devised, is the best form of govt devised among humans to date.

By function today, it's a socialist fascist centralized oligarchy, and it's remarkably distant from its founding.

All I've ever suggested, as a libertarian, is efforts to return to the former.
