supported as you might think. This article would suggest about 57% of Gazans support Hamas which is about the same as I've read elsewhere. Higher support in East Jerusalem but they don't have to live under Hamas.

In this article, the majority of Gazans claim to have been against Hamas breaking the cease fire with Israel. Most residents of Gaza know what Hamas terrorism means for them. Many want no part of it.
