He stole. The employee confronted him. Did it escalate from there? If so who is too blame for this?

If I Rob a bank and my partner in crime is killed I am charged with his death because I put the events in motion that led to his death. Who put the events in motion that led to the shoplifter's death?

Did he deserve to die for shoplifting? No.

Could it have been prevented? Yes, don't prey on your fellow man.

Once again, I'm not going to lose any sleep over this. The world has one less scumbag.
