they did all burn, they weren't warned until the fire was in their neighborhood, they did slow the reaction the people on the ground KNEW needed to be taken.....how was government effective in it's response, how much worse would it have been if gov't wasn't involved? I think the results would have been pretty much the same with or without government.
And finding the victims? Gov't can't even get the number of missing right. Yes I think a private data collecting agency would have been MUCH more effective at collecting that data...yes, I believe volunteers and charitable organizations would have been at least as good at sifting thru the rubble to find victims...if fact most were volunteers but they were forced to coordinate their efforts thru inexperienced government bureaucracy, when the red cross or some some other such private organization that has vast experiance at dealing with these situations.
