indicators that someone knows absolutely nothing about science.

No one with even a most basic understanding of science would ever use that phrase. Gravity is a concept that even toddlers can understand but for decades has been a topic of discussion for physicists. If something as simple as gravity is not settled then something with hundreds of complex variables most definitely cannot be settled.

When a climate change model is created that can both describe past behavior and predict future behavior the climate scientist will be at their answer. They better get Hari Seldon to work on it because the current group is not up to the task.
