board. I wouldn't recommend saying things like that in general public. No one will think you even rise to the level of marginal intelligence.
Even your example is a clumsily stupid analogy, the reason they were mistaken was the lack of observable data and testing. A belief that the earth was flat was never a scientific claim. It was a belief based on a lack of objective information.
