Snyder was the biggest name out there when Alden went on his search in 1999. Thank God for Keyon Dooling and Clarence Gilbert. Hindsight is always 20/20. Yes it would have gone better if Alden had chosen Bill Self instead of Snyder. To be a fly on the wall during those KCI Airport conversations. The fact is Snyder had four really good years...before the wheels started coming off. in '02 he came as close as Coach Stewart or any Mizzou coach ever has to a Final Four. The fact Snyder humbled himself after flaming out...and paid the necessary dues it took to get to the NBA i think is noteworthy. I wish him nothing but success.
