It's insane how much more money is in college sports today

even when compared to as recent as 2001. $1 million in 2001 is the equivalent of $1.45 million today. $1.45 million would put a coach 67th in the nation. Rick Pitino was the highest-paid coach and his salary would be $3.19 million today. That would put him as the 25th highest-paid coach today.

This is why I always find it funny that there are people who are steadfast against kids getting paid and how it will ruin the sport. The sport has been ruined for a long time if you think money in the sport will ruin it.
