Has Drink given up, or is he just a horrible recruiter?

Per today's 247 recruiting rankings we are not just last in the SEC, but also DEAD LAST among all P5 teams.
- We rank 85th overall with only 3 commits.
- Of the top 15 ranked players in Missouri, we have none of them
After a quick glance (not likely 100% accurate but close enough):
- Believe we rank 8th or 9th in the North Carolina
- Dead last among FBS programs in Florida
- Third in Kansas
- Third in Iowa
- Fourth in Illinois
- Fourth in Mississippi
- Fourth or fifth in Tennessee
- Not sure if we're ranked in the top 10 in Texas
You can spin this anyway you want with the usual rebuttals/excuses (signing day is in December, we're more interested in portal transfers ... etc), but the reality is this is extremely troubling.
What's most concerning is the complete whiff on in state talent, zero for 12. Did we waste $100 million on the SEZ project? Looks like the Stephens indoor facility hasn't created any excitement/interest.
Perhaps we should go back (hat in hand) to the Big 12 folks and ask to come home. I'd rather be a temporary bottom feeder in the Big 12 than a permanent laggard in the SEC.
Debate all you want. Attack the messenger. It doesn't change the facts.
