The Knight Commission is a non-profit organization committed to advancing college athletics.
Newhouse College is an academic college at Syracuse that collects and diseminates various kinds and types of data. As of a couple of years ago, the Knight Newhouse data site was established for college athletics.
The Knight Newhouse Center at Syracuse has been in existence for about three years.
The Knight Newhouse Center collects and publishes financial data on college athletics. I have not encountered a website that gives as much data about as many schools as the Knight Newhouse site and if you are interested in this subject, I highly recommend the web site.

The website gives a good deal of detailed data. For the last fiscal year it reports the Tiger AD generated $141,157,028 of revenue and had $125,621,128 of expenses. The SEC average income was $159,079,024 and the average expenses were %157,108,637.
Mizzou's athleticly related debt was $145,921,663 at the end of the year.
