This year, MU started off playing its first seven games in Texas and Florida, and four of them were against Florida International. After that we played 13 straight games in Columbia or KC. The weather couldn't have been great then.
My memory of Mizzou baseball in the early 80s when I was a student there, is that they played in warm weather cities pretty much until conference season began. And they would play better teams. Phil Bradley talked about that when I saw him a few years ago. But maybe it doesn't mean as much as it used to.
